Discretely located down a little laneway, Randwick Residence is a 3-storey boutique townhouse that needed an updated floorplan and storage solutions. Our clients, a family of four with two boys, had started to out-grow their home as it was and needed The Stylesmiths™ help to reconfigure the children’s bedrooms, guest bedroom, lounge and dining areas.
Custom joinery improved much of the issues our homeowners were facing. By personalising the design of storage, TV entertainment unit and concealed study nook, positioned in the multi-functional dining room, The Stylesmiths™ were able to give the family their space back by making it work for them – not the other way round.
Before we met, our clients had their TV positioned underneath the staircase, which felt cramped and disjointed. Our experienced residential interior designer was able to rectify this with joinery design that holds both the TV unit and the unsightly cords that run through the bulkhead above, making the space look effortlessly organised.
Layered texture create interest even in the smallest of spaces – occasional furniture in fabric upholstery with metal accents. We stuck with white as a base and added oak veneers for warmth, pairing all the finishes to completely elevate the space.
