Elegance has found its home in this family, modernist residence. The second of two projects that our client developed with The Stylesmiths™, this one varies in personality, finishes and fixtures to be undeniably distinct.
Crisp white paint, light timber cabinetry and thoughtful black accents across the entire interior design, provided the perfect canvas for daring colour combinations to build character and life that shines in the abundance of natural light. From the moment one passes through the cream travertine façade, there is no denying the extent of detail and time that has gone into every aspect of this tranquil space, well appreciated by homeowners and visitors alike.
This project was European inspired with a modern twist, literally. A striking cylindrical staircase featuring smooth walls that guide either side of warm timber steps, creates an impressive sculptural element that makes way for an expansive central lounge and dining zone. If you look closely, sitting on a block of rounded marble that fills the space between the spiral and wall, is an acrobatic diver jumping between loops, an art piece that perfectly encapsulates the personality of this project; tasteful and audacious.
On the ground floor of this tri-level residence is a hub of entertainment. The lounge enjoys an integrated gas fireplace and TV unit, bordered by grey stone that balances against the plush, ash sofa sitting opposite. Mustard occasional chair and curvy side table duo sit pretty as a functional piece of art, connecting sitting to dining via the hanging print in playful pink, blue and yellow.
In the kitchen, Italian Carrara marble makes the perfect countertop as a material that’s hardy and glossy off-white, blending well into the surrounding home interior design. Premium Italian appliances are fully integrated, paired alongside black glass splashbacks that complement the island stools, accenting the zone from front to back. A butler’s pantry is also included to round out the functionality brief, hidden behind a frosted glass door. Surrounding tree-lined courtyard is a serene outlook, forging a private sanctuary in a busy suburb.
Neighbouring this kitchen, the master bedroom promises a luxurious walk-in robe and ensuite. Dual vanities sit on a chocolate floating console with maximum storage, the percaline bowls seeming to be mini replicas of the freestanding stone bath. With elegant tapware and a rain shower to wake up to, what more could you ask for.
Walking upstairs under a unique circular skylight, a large living retreat awaits, fitted with soft furnishings begging to be snuggled into with a book and cuppa in hand. Thinking of everything, a study nook with generously sized desk and custom suspended shelving has been built into the upstairs landing, while the basement boasts a private cinema room to watch movies on the big screen or invite mates over for Friday night’s sport game.
Other details include a direct clothing chute that leads to the downstairs laundry, and designer lighting throughout adds a sense of opulence during day or night.
