From a garage-born passion project in 2010 to an international brand spanning 30 countries, Evolve has established itself as a leader in electric skateboard innovation. As the company expanded, founders Jeff and Fleur Anning envisioned a headquarters that would embody their relentless drive and disruptive ethos—a space that would seamlessly merge office interiors, showroom, and workshop interior design while staying true to their brand’s DNA.
The Stylesmiths™ interior designers were enlisted to transform an industrial factory into a high-energy, design-forward HQ, a space that reflects Evolve’s identity—bold, fast-paced, and cutting-edge. Understanding that Evolve’s culture thrives on movement and progression, the commercial interior design was carefully curated to foster collaboration, innovation, and brand immersion. The office interior design, introduces a open-plan layout, encourages fluid teamwork, while dedicated zones for product testing and creative development reinforce the hands-on nature of the business. Industrial materials such as raw concrete, matte black finishes, and brushed metal establish a space that feels grounded yet dynamic, reinforcing the brand’s urban edge.
The retail showroom design isn’t just a display space—it’s a visual manifesto of Evolve’s evolution. Designed to be part retail experience, part gallery, it highlights sleek electric skateboards against a backdrop of edgy textures. Neon lighting in unconventional patterns pulses through the environment, injecting an almost futuristic energy. The use of high-contrast finishes and layered industrial elements creates a setting that feels immersive and high-impact, capturing the adrenaline-fueled spirit of the brand.
Echoing Evolve’s start-up attitude and forward-thinking mindset, The Stylesmiths™ infused the HQ with raw, unpolished finishes that embrace an urban-inspired aesthetic. Concrete floors and exposed beams set a strong industrial foundation, while bold colour accents and high-voltage lighting reflect the speed and power of Evolve’s boards. The workshop, a high-functioning creative space, was equally considered, allowing for seamless product assembly, refinement, and testing, ensuring Evolve’s team can push the boundaries of skateboard innovation with style and precision.
