This inner-city home is a sanctuary of peace and stillness, designed around two young professionals preparing to start a family, while juggling demanding careers and a brood of fur babies that keep them on their toes. The vision for this Stylesmiths project was to create a haven of calm fitted with quality materials, a paired back colour scheme and an abundance of storage solutions.
Achieving sophistication that’s welcoming and warm, meant purchasing quality statement furniture that the clients decided were worth the investment. Comfortable, durable and elegant but not precious, additions such as the Spanish table and chairs or custom designed bedhead are everything our clients desired.
Transitional zone and private workspace, the upstairs study increases the value of available space by way of a banquette seat, housing internal storage and providing a comfortable nook in which to cuddle a pet, nurse a child or take a simple study break. Tone and texture bring the adjacent master bedroom to life, drawing on the moody artwork for its calming colour inspiration. Engaging luxurious furnishings and pairing them with tactile elements heightens the senses as one relaxes into the youthful, modern space that evades any notion of being pretentious.
Everything feels plush and subtle. All furniture sits ready to be used without fuss or worry, complimented by a collection of art that adequately reflects each zone, whether cute, contemplative or edgy.
